Air Train and Subway - The Air Train JFK links the region's rail and subway transportation network to NYC. Take the Air Train from Jamaica Station, transfer to the MTA's "E train" towards Manhattan to 42nd Street Port Authority and transfer to the 1 train going uptown. Get off at 103 Street and walk one block east. Hostelling International is on the corner of 103rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue. The prices are $5.00(Air Train) and $2.00(subway). The frequency of Air Train is 20-30 minutes and 4-20 minutes for the subway. Allow 2 hours for the travel time.

Express Buses - New York Airport Service Express Bus: Take the bus to Port Authority, transfer to the 1 train going uptown. Get off at 103rd Street and walk on block east. -TransBridge: Take the bus to Port Authority transfer to the 1 or 9 heading uptown. Get off at 103rd Street and walk on block east. Hostelling International is on the corner of 103rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue. The fee for the bus is $10. They offer three trips daily; the times are 3:20PM, 5:20PM, and 6:50PM
