What are hours/admission/directions for tours of the United Nations?

Address:

1st Avenue, between 42nd Street and 48th Street

The visitor's entrance is located on First Avenue & 46th Street.

 

Directions from hostel:

 

By Bus:

At 103rd Street and Broadway take M104 bus (southbound) to last stop.

 

By Subway:

  1. Take 1 or 9 train downtown to "42nd Street/Times Square."
  2. Transfer to S train; take it one stop to "42nd Street/Grand Central Station."
  3. Exit station. Walk 3 blocks east to 1st Avenue. Then walk 4 blocks north to 46th Street. 

 

Tour Hours:

 

M-F 9:30AM-4:45PM

Saturday & Sunday: 10AM-4:30PM

only open M-F in January and February

 

Tours in English normally leave every half hour and last for approximately 45 minutes to one hour.

 

Tours are conducted in other languages including: Arabic, Croatian, Danish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish. Please call (212) 963-7539 on the day you plan to visit to confirm that the language you need is offered on that day.

 

Prices:

Adults: $12.50

Senior Citizens: $8.00

Students w/ valid ID: $8.00

Children (5-14 yrs. old): $6.50
