Sleep for Peace. Sometimes, talking to strangers can be a very good thing.

HI USA hostels bring together travelers from more than 100 countries, enabling dialogue among kindred spirits from diverse backgrounds. These personal connections often provide new perspective on global issues and world cultures.

In honor of International Day of Peace, HI New York City will be hosting a week of programming from September 21st to September 27th. The programs are free and open to the community. You will be joining HI hostels across the country and around the world in celebrating with the United Nations.

All program recipients will receive HI New York City’s free Passport for Peace, a guide to the most peaceful places in New York City. Make sure to take a photo at each location to get your stamps! With all 6 stamps, you’ll get a free New York City t-shirt.

Sleep for Peace NYC 2015 Schedule:

HI NYC will be celebrating Sleep for Peace by having a number of events in and around the hostel.  Our celebration will be all week long, so we hope that you will be able to join us for some, or all, of these free, fun activities. Open to everyone, not just our hostelling community, we look forward to seeing you as we Sleep for Peace.
